Born in Washington, D.C., writer-director and producer Madison Simmons is a 2026 graduate of Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television, where she earned her master’s degree in Film and Television Production. Her work spans narrative filmmaking, production, and development, with experience supporting projects from concept through execution.

Madison has worked with MegaMind Media Productions, supporting content development for BET and TV One, including projects such as the NAACP-nominated First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story. She has also contributed to independent productions in roles including Assistant Director, Producer, Writer, and Director, developing a strong understanding of storytelling both on and off set.

Her passion for filmmaking began at a young age when her father introduced her to the power of cinema and its ability to inspire imagination and connection. Growing up with a speech impediment, Madison found confidence and expression through writing stories and exploring films. Filmmaking became the medium through which she discovered her voice and her ability to create stories that spark conversation.

As a filmmaker, Madison is drawn to character-driven stories that explore identity, relationships, resilience, and the human experience. Through her work, she hopes to create films that encourage dialogue, challenge perspectives, and leave a lasting impact on audiences.
